Hastie Conveyancing was founded by Ken Hastie in 1988 following the enactment of the Administration of Justice Act 1985. This Act allowed experienced or suitably qualified non-Solicitors to provide the public with full conveyancing services.

Ken established his conveyancing practice in Sunderland when he became the first practising Licensed Conveyancer in the North East of England. He retired with 57 years experience in the law.

The ethos of the practice was on personal service at reasonable cost and as a result of this ethos Ken had many long established and loyal clients.
